We were in the uber trendy Standard Deluxe Suite in the meatpacking district in Manhattan, it was definitely one of the chicest places I’ve ever stayed having been colorfully decorated by up and coming Brooklyn based artists. The cool thing is, if you like a piece you can purchase it and take it home with you! The main bedroom is actually a loft with an extra bed in the living room. There was high speed WIFI which was perfect to download a couple of shows for my friends daughter. The kitchen was spotless and stocked with brand new cooking gear, so convenient to have a refrigerator to store leftovers. It was pretty warm for fall in NYC, the AC kept the whole place comfortable. They also had a laundry room one floor down from us-as someone who travels constantly I always appreciate laundry!
From our spectacular location in the heart of NYC we took the Staten island ferry for a beautiful views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty, we grabbed dumplings a delicious hole in the wall restaurant in Chinatown and did some shopping. We explored the Highline, Times Square, Central Park and so much more! I really got a feel for what it would be like to live in the city, something that is definitely on my Lifelist.
