Mellow Mushroom-Charleston, South Carolina

I was feeling pizza for dinner so we decided to check out Mellow Mushroom. We had a few drinks with some friends at the bar upstairs. The atmosphere was fun and friendly. We grabbed a table downstairs, looked through all of their unique menu options and decided on a large “Maui Wowie” pizza. After waiting about ten minutes it arrived. This is not your average pizza! It had a pesto based sauce with ham, pineapple, jerk chicken, banana peppers, applewood smoked bacon and mozzarella cheese. I am a huge fan of pesto and a huge fan of this delicious pizza! The perfect combination of tasty ingredients!
Bonus: If you are vegetarian Mellow Mushroom goes above and beyond the standard options and they even have vegan cheese!
