The Sunshine Coast is known for its beautiful coastline, long maritime history and abundant parks and reserves, including the famed Skookumchuck Narrows where kayakers come from all over the world. Many lakes are in the are and are popular for fishing and boating. There is even bioluminescence in some of the bays, meaning that there are microorganisms that make the water glow when it moves.

Prince Edward Island has the most beautiful red sand beaches, when I was a child my family went on a two week camping trip there and we had an amazing time exploring the beaches. They also have neat lighthouses and some of the tastiest seafood. They are especially known for delicious mussels.

Whistler is a gateway for winter sports like skiing and snowboarding. It’s also a summertime destination for golfing, hiking and cultural festivals. There are many local creeks, popular for fly fishing. I went in the summer and had a great time hiking to waterfalls, around lakes and even to see a glacier! I made sure to get travel insurance before my trip. The stars were incredible at night, I loved photographing them.Whistler

Moncton features the scenic Riverfront Park which offers a skateboard park, playground and it connects to Trans Canada Trail. There are tons of museums, the Magic Mountain Water Park and you can see live performances at The Capitol Theatre, one of the few fully restored vaudeville theatres in Canada.

Victoria was one of my favorite places I have visited in Canada. I had a delightful time whale watching for orcas, kayaking around Victoria harbor and eating at many local restaurants. I had some great sweet potato poutine (french fries and cheese curds topped with a light brown gravy) at Re-Bar restaurant. Victoria

Quebec City

One of the most interesting cities in North America, Québec City remains a focal point of French culture. The hilltop French-speaking city has many popular ski and snowboarding spots nearby. I took a trip there once for snow-tubing and it was so much fun. With its narrow streets, walled fortifications, and centuries-old buildings, Québec is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Vancouver has some of the tastiest sushi I have ever tried. The portions were huge and very reasonable priced.  is surrounded on two sides by water and the others mountains and evergreen forests. Pacific Spirit Regional Park is a wonderful place to explore the forest. Vancouver

Nanaimo‘s greatest assets are its public outdoor spaces. There are over 100 parks and even 30 baseball diamonds. I took a trip to Nanaimo to go ziplining and bungee jumping! They also have interesting wildlife and it is a great place for bird watching. I was able to hold hawks and owls at a local reserve.
