I miss planes over and over, two weeks ago in Italy I lost my wallet with all my documents, passport, CC, etc.  just few hours before going to the airport. While I was sitting at the police precinct to file a report, pulling my hair because I had no idea when I could leave again with no passport, another cop called me on my cell saying that he had found all of my documents!

In the end I only missed two flights that day and somehow I still made it to NY!!

Barcelona  Barcelona

What is the most memorable experience you have had traveling?

In 2002 I was living in Paris, and as a big fan of Bruce Springsteen, I decided I wanted to see him in concert in Italy.

I went to airport same day of the concert in Paris and of course they were on strike. I told them that I had a family emergency and they need to find me a way to get to Italy. After 4 hours of discussion they put me on a tiny biplane flight to another town in Italy that was about two hours from the Milano stadium. I booked a car to reach the stadium, and after driving at full speed all the way I drove the last 30 minutes in the emergency lane because of  a traffic jam. On top of everything, I still didn’t have tickets as I had bought them online and I couldn’t find the guy who had them. When I finally arrived at the stadium, I did not even park the car, I just left it in the street, jumped out, found a ticket scalper-bought a ticket and ran into the stadium. Bruce came out 3 minutes later. It was a 12 hour adventure to see the Boss!

What is your favorite travel themed film?

Somewhere by Sofia Coppola

What has traveling taught you?

I am a pilot by nature and by necessity, I had to fly thru clouds and stars, thru storms and blue skies most of my life, I have learned how to make it thru the turbulences and how to try to land safe.
