I absolutely love being in nature, I grew up in Maine and I often grew tired of the long winter months. When I first started traveling I gravitated to warmer places. In 2014 I decided to visit Iceland in March for three weeks and I found that when I choose to go to a snowy place I can find it really fun. Instead of dreading the cold I was excited to go ice climbing, winter camp, do snowboarding and snowmobiling. I look at it as a fun adventure and when everything is blanketed in snow it really is a different world.
