I knew that with a motto of “Rebels Against the Ordinary” Hotel ZED in Victoria, British Columbia would be cool, but it was even crazier than my friend John and I expected! Named “Hotel ZED” because Canadians pronounce the letter “Z” as “zed” instead of “zee”. The colorful retro decor reflects the genuine personality in this hotel! This is the place to bring out your inner child, the even have complimentary bikes for guests! With rooms starting at under $100.00 this special place is a great value!They had ping pong tables and Wii stations!Typewriters so you could write a cool note or send a letter to a friend!
Complimentary shuttle for hotel guests in their ’67 VW Bus! Awesome to catch a ride downtown and not have to worry about parking!
I cannot begin to explain how awesome the waterslide, pool, hot tub and sauna was. Well, you can see it on my face below!Getting ready to head down the waterslide with my GoPro! The details in the room design were so funky! It was great that the desk doubled as a TV stand, it even came with Star Wars comic books!! Yes!All of the rooms come with a media hub so that you can look at photos, watch youtube or any number of things from your laptop or phone. This, is a rotary telephone. I think you can make calls with it.
This board was so cool, it had free stickers, what to do if you’re bored and tons of other great hotel info!The bathroom was simple and very clean. I got a great night’s sleep in the super-comfy bed! Hotel ZED features a record listening station!As much free coffee as you want! And if you just can’t get enough, some great free SWAG!
