IMG_80366It is almost summer! The time of year that most people are spending their holidays somewhere else. Everyone prefers a different kind of vacation. One might find a relaxing stay at the beach appealing, whereas someone else rather goes backpacking and camping. Whatever your plans might be, I’ve selected 6 interesting apps and websites that could come in handy!

Airline Flight Check-In

When you are a frequent traveller, Airline Flight Check-In could come in handy. This straightforward app saves all your boarding passes in one place. This way you don’t have to print your boarding pass or surf to the airlines’ website to check-in. You just have to show your device. The Airline Flight Check-In app includes over 200 airlines.airport

Recharge

When I’m on the road I always want to stay in touch with my family and friends. Just to let them know I’m okay, what I’m doing and to find out how things are going at home. The cheapest and easiest way to stay in touch is by online mobile recharge. On Recharge.com you can top up the credit of more than 300 providers worldwide. You simply select the correct provider and enter some of your information. The advantage of the website is that you can use it everywhere and anytime!pack stuff

Packing Pro

Most of the time I start packing my bags days before I leave. I. always. pack. wrong. I forget my favorite jeans, charger and I have to admit that I even forgot my passport once. But since I got the Packing Pro app, I haven’t forgotten a thing! The app automatically creates lists based on the information you gave, like the number of adults, children or the gender. But you can also make your own lists by selecting from more than 800 items. The Packing Pro saves you time and ensures you have packed everything you need.

Do you want to explore the city? Forget about all the maps and brochures, this app helps you organize your trip. In GetYourGuide you will find all the things to do in the city you are visiting. You can search for activities near you and save them for later. It is even possible to book tours and tickets with the app. No more waiting in line!

IsabelaGalapagos3-001Trail Wallet

Trail Wallet is the perfect app to track your expenses as you travel. I used it for the first time this year in the Galapagos Islands and I loved seeing the daily average of how much I spent each day in an easy graph visualization! You are able to choose the categories of spending as well so with one click you can see how much you spent on food, activities or accommodation for the day or the entire trip!

directionPoint It app

In my experience it can be difficult in some places to find someone who speaks English. This often leads to misinterpreted questions and the most frustrating answers. Once when I asked someone for directions, they sent me the wrong way because they didn’t understand my English. But I have found a solution, I have always used the Point It book-now they have thePoint It app! With this app you can explain what you want to ask or tell someone by showing the right picture. And do not worry, with more than hundreds of photo’s in different categories, you can show the correct picture within seconds. It is even fun to use!
