- People say that when you take too many photos that you miss what is going on around you. Personally I think having my camera causes me notice a lot more. I was walking back to the place I was couchsurfing in Reykjavík and I noticed the smallest blades of grass coming up in some flower beds on the street. I got down on my hands and knees and began photographing the colorful dew covered beginnings of spring. For a few moments I was completely entranced by all of the exquisite bright blossoms against the dull brown dead leaves. I love that as an adult I can still feel like that.
